Pre-pull

A pre-pull refers to the process of retrieving a container from a port or rail yard and storing it at a nearby private yard until the receiver is ready to receive it. This method is convenient when the container is ready for pickup but the final destination isn't ready to accept delivery. It can save both time and detention charges at the port where fees can accrue quickly.
