# Customs Bond

A customs bond is a guarantee by a surety to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that the importer will pay all required duties, taxes, and fees, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations; it can cover either a single transaction or be continuous for all imports over a 12-month period, making a continuous bond ideal for importers with recurring shipments.
